To the moderators:

I've noticed in the online newsletter that there are now many links to this forum but
no one new is posting............. Maybe you have to actually say "log onto/join our forum" the way you used to say "log onto Marcia's blog.............."

Sorry to butt in, but I am trying to think how to get more people to write.........

Yes - Please get this forum back.  I miss everyone's input.
I guess I can tell you that I've had a couple of little setbacks in the last few weeks: with one week's vacation and then a big (delicious) wedding, it was hard to eat properly.  I think I did better than I expected (I gained 4 pounds) but it's hard to get back to the straight-and-narrow that I had been on before.
I hope someone "hears" me....

Glad to see you back Sweet! It's getting very lonely out here....... Where is everyone?
Maybe lots of us are away on vacation??

It's good to hear someone else admit this.
I'm always "falling off the wagon" and gaining and losing the same weight over and over.......
It's been such a cold and rainy June, and I was wearing my Fall clothes
(or should I say my "Fall-off-the-wagon" clothes....... :lol so I fell back to some very bad eating habits and was feeling and looking awful from lots of sugar, etc. Since Sunday, I started pulling myself back by avoiding sugar and all deserts except fresh fruit........ It is just getting harder and harder to be consistent.

Hi Esther,

It's so good to see new members - I hope you will find the courage to post and tell us about yourself. There are a lot of us here who need the push to communicate- we depend on each other...

I see you are a teacher. I used to be a teacher as well. I do miss it. In any case, right now I am up in the Catskills and i only have dialup service. In other words it's like having no online service at all. Which is not so bad after all. I am finally getting a chance to have my feet walk for an hour a day instead of my fingers walking   all day long...

My goal is to lose 10 pounds over the summer.

I used to go to the Catskills as a child and I have some of my happiest childhood memories from those times. Lovetoeat, you are so lucky to have that for your family.

This summer is proving to be hectic, but it is nice not to have to worry about school work on top of the kids' activities.

It is easier for me to stay on track in the summer because I can get outside more and move around, although, last night I ended up eating too, too much because of poor planning, and probably, deliberately sabotaging myself to avoid a ton of paperwork.........

Yes, hi Esther, and anyone else out here......... It would be great if you posted.

Glad to be back and settled - although the girls are not back to school yet.

I also need this place to become alive again!

Hi proudbubby - how many einiklach do you have?

SOOOOOOO glad to see that someone has come back - lovetoeat: hello!
I had a very hectic time cooking and eating for Rosh Hashanah and my own personal feasting yom-tov is now done. I usually do much better in the next few weeks of holidays.
I would love to know what everyone experienced, and I'm sure that we will all benefit from "hearing" from each other....

Hi Adina and Mirik.

It's so good to see new names. I'm a social worker and I love meeting people (not job related) as well. I've been a pretty good "poster" last year and I slacked off a bit. Seeing new names is giving me a push . It's so good to talk the same language and  face similar issues together.

It would be so nice if we could get a "lively" dialogue going again.   If we all could check in a few times a week, it would be so helpful.   I love hearing about everyone else's progress, ideas and lives.....

So great to be back "talking" a little again!
I've been doing well maintaining a small weight loss for several months now.  My short term goal is to not gain any back in the next few socially (read that as eating ) weeks.  Long term, I'd like to continue to lose a little more weight - and those will be the hard, last few pounds.
It's a little easier to do all of this when I've been getting a lot of notice from people about losing the weight.  But when those compliments have dried up and this weight becomes the "status quo", it gets harder to glide on the praise.
